Chris Brown

singer, he says it’s been the “worst experience of my life.” Brown, who seemed to be on a righteous path after four months in court-ordered rehab, was sent to jail last week for an undisclosed probation violation committed while in treatment at the facility.

According to TMZ, Brown has been put in solitary confinement and “feels like a caged animal.” Friends say Brown has been spending his time in lockup working out and writing music. He is even saying, “I’ll never f*** up again.”

Hopefully for Breezy, he won’t be behind bars for much longer. The singer is reportedly negotiating a settlement with the alleged victim of his Washington, D.C. attack to drop charges, and he’s hoping the judge in his 2009 battery case involving Rihanna does the same

Police in Washington, D.C. are looking into a statement one officer made about Chris Brown’s alleged assault on a man outside a local hotel last year, and it could be pivotal in his case.

According to Billboard, internal affairs launched an investigation to flush out inconsistencies in witness testimonies. One unidentified Breezy acquaintance reportedly told the officer that the alleged victim told him that Brown never hit him. But when detectives interviewed the officer to follow up, he said he never even talked to the acquaintance. The alleged victim has also denied the conversation.

Later, however, a surprise witness popped up, a Secret Service officer who was on the scene told detectives that the officer in question did speak to the aquaintance, and he knows because he overheard the conversation (being professionally trained to be alert and all).

The “he said, she said” is typical, however, says D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier, adding that the investigation is routine and that no one has accused the officer of anything. “Nobody has accused anybody of lying,” she said. “One person says one thing, one person says something else. Nobody has made an allegation that an officer is lying or covering anything up.”

Both Brown and his bodyguard were charged with assault for allegedly punching a man who reportedly attempted to photobomb a picture Brown was taking with two fans. Both rejected plea deals and insist that they are innocent. Brown is due back in D.C. court Feb. 20 2014 “

Four Canadian concert dates to be headlined by Chris Brown have been canceled, the promoter involved announced Monday (Aug. 19). Drop Group Entertainment owner Stephen Tobin decided to scrap the entire Energy Rush music festival following “ongoing conversation and consultation” with the R&B star. “In light of the performer’s recent personal and health-related issues, a decision has been made to cancel all four scheduled performances,” Tobin said in a statement.
Brown was billed to hit Canadian cities Toronto, Winnipeg, Saint John and Halifax this month. Publicist Nicole Perna expressed the singer’s regret that he will be unable to perform.
Nearly a handful of sponsors pulled out of the Halifax stop because Brown was on board. Halifax’s Mayor Mike Savage admitted to not being “a fan” of the singer’s “behavior in the past” and wanted to be consulted before Breezy was booked to appear.
Aside from targeting his pockets, the summer is closing out on a bittersweet note, legally, for Brown. On Friday (Aug. 16), a judge reinstated his probation and sentenced him to an additional 1,000 hours of community labor. The 24-year-old Virginia native has been in an out of court fighting various allegations as of late, including charges from a May hit-and-run case, which was eventually dropped.
The Energy Rush festival has been rescheduled for next year.

ENT NEWS : Frank Ocean's Cousin Sues Chris Brown

Chris Brown’s legal troubles continue to get worse. The singer has been hit with a lawsuit by Sha’Keir Duarte, cousin of Frank Ocean, stemming from a brawl that occured between the two artists and their entourages in a Los Angeles parking lot this past January.
Duarte is suing Brown for unspecified damages, claiming Brown’s bodyguard “Hood” badly beat him during the incident. He also claims Brown egged his bodyguard on, encouraging him to “get that n*****.” Duarte says he suffered at least a dozen kicks to the body and several to the head, claiming the beat-down left him permanently disabled.
Says Duarte, when it was over, he heard Brown yell, “you got your a** beat and it’s all on camera.
Breezy’s legal team, presumably, hopes that’s not true. In fact, the “Fine China” singer’s rep released a statement to TMZ saying, “Chris Brown does not employ anybody named ‘Hood.
There has been no comment from Ocean about the lawsuit. The Channel Orange singer decided not to press charges against Brown a few weeks after the incident, which reportedly could have escalated to a hate crime after Brown allegedly called Ocean a “f*****.” Ocean has, however, made his opinion of Brown clear in the press.

Chris Brown suffered a seizure at a music studio in Hollywood early this morning, TMZ reports, adding that the “Fine China” crooner declined treatment.

At around 1 a.m., someone from the Record Plant recording studio called the medical emergency 911. A source told the website that when EMT’s arrived Brown refused medical treatment and wouldn’t go to a hospital.

Breezy reportedly suffered seizures as a child. He has yet to confirm or deny the story.
A rumored medical emergency adds another potentially stressful item to Brown’s already packed plate. His ongoing legal troubles came to a head when he was charged with hit and run, revoking his probation stemming from the 2009 assault on Rihanna. He recently turned himself in to authorities, and spent roughly 45 minutes in custody.
The stress of it all may point to Brown’s decision to possibly hang up the mic. Earlier in the week, he tweeted about quitting music after the release of his X album, due out this fall!

While most people hatch plans to break out of jail, Chris Brown was a part of a clandestine operation to get in.

According to TMZ, the R&B singer stealthy turned himself into authorities a day early to answer for hit-and-run charges. Brown reportedly showed up to the Van Nuys jail on Monday where he was booked and released on his own recognizance in about 45 minutes.

The covert operation was put together by Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, to prevent the paparazzi from snapping shots of the entertainer as would have been the case if he appeared in court on Tuesday as scheduled.

Ironically, there was an army of photographers at the courthouse, which is connected to the jail, to cover 50 Cent’s domestic violence case. Once the paps left, Breezy strolled into the building to handle his business.

Chris Brown+ Kavinsky+ Chamillionaire

This week, French electronic artist Kavinsky made a splash in R&B/hip-hop world with the release of “Odd Look (Remix),” featuring the Weeknd. The Canadian singer’s signature falsetto glides effortlessly over the Knight Rider-inspired track which was first featured on Kavinsky’s “Outrun” LP (February, 2013). This remix version will be featured on his “Odd Look” EP due in August while the Weeknd’s “Kiss Land” is expected to drop this year.

Veteran Houston rapper Chamillionaire continues to work his way up the comeback trail with the release of his “Reignfall” EP and its impressive title track. Sampling Isaac Hayes’ classic “Ike’s Mood,” the smooth cut features Houston rap legend Scarface, Atlanta’s Killer Mike and newcomer Bobby Moon. Chamillionaire’s last appearances on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums were in 2007 with the Slick Rick-assisted “Hip-Hop Police” (No. 76 peak) and his second solo studio album “Ultimate Victory” (No. 3), respectively. His third solo set titled “Poison” is set to drop soon.

Pop star Chris Brown Shares Advice With Young Black Men

When George Zimmerman, 29, was acquitted of all charges in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, Chris Brown (along with many other artists) was very vocal about his disappointment with the verdict. During the WE US: Walk Everywhere in Unity’s Shoe Project in Compton, Breezy talked with about the stereotypes young Black men face and why they should stay positive in light of the verdict.

“Being stereotyped is something I’m familiar with,” he said while wearing a T-shirt with Martin’s face on it. “You know, as a young entertainer, I’ve dealt with the slander [and] I’ve dealt with the good side of things.”

“Just keep your head up. For these young kids coming up, it’s all about the choices they make. It’s always going to be about the choices they make. They have to surround and be around a lot of people who are going to think positive. Everybody goes through different situations. Everybody struggles and everybody goes through their different problems. But it’s how you face it and how you react,” he added.

Brown gave out more than a thousand pairs of Reebok Classics to underprivileged youth and used the charity event to demonstrate what a little good can do for others. He reiterated his message that while Trayvon Martin’s fate was a tragic one, we should all stand united and walk together for a better future.

Pop star Chris Brown pleaded not guilty to hit and run and was officially ordered to be booked on the charge during a hearing in a Van Nuys, CA, courtroom Tuesday (July 23). Two remaining charges, for driving without a license or insurance, were dropped by prosecutors.

Brown was ordered to show up at a sheriff’s station next week to be booked. His probation – stemming from the assault on Rihanna a few years ago – was revoked this month.

In May, Brown, 24, hit Olga Kovalenko’s Mercedes. At the time, he allegedly became irritated, berated her with expletives, then fled without handing over an ID or insurance. Kovalenko later dropped all charges.

Breezy’s next court hearing will be Aug. 16 to set a trial date regarding his probation. According to a rep, he expects to have all charges dropped next week, and for the probation to be reinstated.

If things don’t work out in his favor, the revocation will be upheld, and the Virginia native will be taken into custody to serve up to four years behind bars.

Brown was sentenced to serve five year’s of probation alongside the completion of domestic violence awareness classes and community labor for attacking Rihanna after a Grammy party in 2009.
