James Gatera, the CEO of Bank of Kigali, has been nominated for the prestigious All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA) East African edition, the winner of which will be announced on September 9 in Kigali.

The AABLA recognize business leaders on the continent who make a difference through innovation, are an inspiration to their sector and have had a considerable effect on their industry and the community in which they work.

Last year, Jack Kayonga, the then managing director of the Rwanda Development Bank (BRD), won the East African award.

The judging panel for AABLA-EA includes Gideon Badagawa, executive director; Mary Waceke Muia, mechanical engineer and business coac of AABLAh, George Njenga of the Strathmore Business School and Clare Akamanzi, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board.
